Ranking 10 Most Clutch Players in NBA History

#2 Larry Bird

Bird sank the hearts of opposing team’s players and fans on a routine basis throughout his career. Always brash, never bashful in the final seconds of a close game, Bird’s resume is filled with heroic shots. Perhaps his most extraordinary game-winner came in 1985 against the Blazers when he took one dribble and sank a game-winning jumper as he was falling out of bounds. But, Bird’s most audacious single play came in the 1987 playoffs against the Pistons when he stole the inbounds pass and found Dennis Johnson darting toward the basket for the game-winning layup.
