Ranking NBA's Best Power Forwards for 2019-20 Season
#9 Lauri Markkanen
Is it possible, based on how well Zach LaVine played in the early portion of last season and the flashes Markkanen has shown in each of his first two years in the league, that Chicago could have the NBA’s best one-two punch in the not-so-distant future? Health issues reared its ugly head in 2018-19, as Markkanen missed 30 games including the final seven with symptoms of an accelerated heart rate. The unique compilation of skills he has – notably his outside shooting at seven feet tall – should help the 21-year-old from Finland, assuming he’s at full strength, rise when there is a huge premium on outside shooting.
