ORLANDO – A new-look Orlando Magic team with first-year head coach Scott Skiles will open and close the 2015 preseason with games at the Amway Center. In between, the Magic will travel to South America and close to the Mexican border for exhibition games.

Skiles, who was a fan favorite as an Orlando player from 1989-94, will make his debut as the Magic’s head coach on Oct. 3 when his squad hosts the Charlotte Hornets. It will also serve as the Magic debuts for rookie Mario Hezonja and new acquisitions C.J. Watson, Jason Smith, Shabazz Napier and Melvin Ejim. Tipoff is just after 7 p.m.

The Magic will also play preseason home games against the Miami Heat (Oct. 13), New Orleans Pelicans (Oct. 21) and Memphis Grizzlies (Oct. 23). The Magic open the regular season at the Amway Center on Oct. 28 against the Washington Wizards.

Tickets for all home preseason games go on sale on Aug. 21.

The Magic open training camp on Sept. 26 at the Amway Center. Orlando returns a solid foundation of players in center Nikola Vucevic, guard Victor Oladipo, forward Tobias Harris, point guard Elfrid Payton, shooting guard Evan Fournier and forwards Aaron Gordon and Channing Frye.

Magic season tickets, partial plans, group and single-game Amway Center suite rental opportunities are already on sale.
