Most Interesting 2014 Conference Semifinal Series?

NBA fans must be elated about this year’s conference semifinals. There are four extremely intriguing matchups.

But which one has the most appeal for the casual fan?

First off, in none of the series can we definitively suggest that one team is a “substantial” favorite. Sure, Miami is expected to eliminate Brooklyn, but the Nets did win all four contests against the Heat in the regular season.

Indiana has struggled for the past two months while Washington looked outstanding in its First Round series against Chicago. However, will the Wizards be a more favorable matchup for the Pacers considering they have a more conventional frontline? Remember, the Hawks spaced the floor with Paul Millsap and Pero Antic, which disallowed Roy Hibbert from having an impact.

The Clippers and Thunder are as even as it gets. While it’s likely Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will all play like All-Stars, which cast of reserves will have a more significant influence? Could the series outcome come down to guys like Jamal Crawford, J.J. Redick, Caron Butler and Reggie Jackson?

And finally, Portland has had a magical season and it was accentuated in its First Round series against Houston. But will San Antonio’s experience prevail?

Which series will be the most captivating to watch? Check out an analysis below.
