Honorable Mention Mario Hezonja flirted with a triple-double in the 2016 Rising Stars Challenge in Toronto with 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Honorable Mention Victor Oladipo matched a Team USA high in scoring with 22 points in the 2015 Rising Stars Challenge. He also had four assists, four steals and three rebounds. One night later he dazzled fans with his 540-degree slam in the dunk contest.

#10 Nick Anderson had an impressive showing in the 1992 Slam Dunk Contest in Orlando. He finished in third place.

#9 Dennis Scott advanced to the final round of the 1996 3-point shooting contest in San Antonio, scoring 19 points in both the first and second rounds. Tim Legler won the competition.

#8 Penny Hardaway made eight of his nine shots from the floor and scored a game-high 22 points for the Sensations in the 1994 NBA Rising Stars Game. Hardaway was named MVP of the game.

#7 Dwight Howard’s best All-Star Game performance was in his first appearance when he posted 20 points (10-of-14 shooting) and 12 rebounds in 2007 in Las Vegas. He was solid the next year as well in New Orleans where he made all seven of his shot attempts and filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block.

#6 Shaquille O’Neal led the Eastern Conference in scoring in the 1995 All-Star Game in Phoenix with 22 points. His Magic teammate, Penny Hardaway, notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.

#5 Tracy McGrady was one of the best crowd-pleasers in All-Star Game history. He had a habit of throwing passes to himself off the backboard and finishing with exhilarating dunks. T-Mac first showed this off in 2002 in Philadelphia, where he led the East with 24 points off the bench.

#4 Shaquille O’Neal’s single greatest All-Star Game moment perhaps came in San Antonio in 1996 when he posterized hometown favorite David Robinson with a thunderous one-handed slam. O’Neal recorded 25 points and 10 rebounds.

#3 Tracy McGrady was sensational in the 2003 All-Star Game in Atlanta, exploding for 29 points including 17 in the third quarter. He shot 10-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from 3-point range.

#2 Dwight Howard revived the dunk contest with his spectacular display at All-Star Weekend in 2008. Howard threw down a few jaw-droppers, but none were more captivating than his signature “Superman” jam.

#1 Aaron Gordon (and eventual winner Zach LaVine) put on an epic show in the 2016 Slam Dunk Contest. Some feel Gordon’s under-the-legs, over STUFF dunk is the greatest single dunk in the competition’s history.
