The former USC standout made 17 of his 22 shot attempts overall and six of his eight from 3-point distance.
thumbnail-image: #9 Oct. 24, 2017 vs. Nets: Aaron Gordon Gordon’s best performance so far in his career came early in the 2017-18 season when he erupted for a career-high 41 points on 14-of-18 shooting overall and 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. One of those 3-pointers by the 6-foot-9, 220-pounder, who also grabbed 14 rebounds, gave the Magic the lead with 36 seconds remaining in the game.
thumbnail-image: #8 March, 18, 2016 vs. Cavs: Victor Oladipo Oladipo, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 draft, was scorching hot in a game against LeBron James and the Cavaliers late in the 2015-16 season. He racked up 45 points, a career high at the time, on 16-of-22 shooting overall and 6-of-7 from 3-point range.
thumbnail-image: #7 March 20, 2015 vs. Blazers: Elfrid Payton Payton became the seventh player at the time and first since Antoine Walker in 1997 to record back-to-back triple-doubles as a rookie when he posted 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against the Blazers. Two nights earlier in Dallas, the 6-foot-3 guard had 15, 10 and 12. Since then, Ben Simmons and Luka Doncic joined the list by notching consecutive triple-doubles during their rookie years. The others, besides Payton, Walker, Simmons and Doncic, to post back-to-back triple-doubles as rookies were Oscar Robertson, Alvan Adams, Magic Johnson, David Robinson and Jason Kidd.
thumbnail-image: #6 Nov. 6, 2019 at Mavs: Jonathan Isaac Isaac joined exclusive company when he became just the third player since the 1983-84 season to record at least 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, six blocks and four steals in a single game. The others to do it were a pair of Houston Rockets legends, Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson. Isaac, 22, was smothering on defense that night against the Mavs, helping limit Kristaps Porzingis to a woeful 4-for-14 shooting performance.
thumbnail-image: #5 Feb. 24, 2010 at Rockets: Dwight Howard Howard, who made all 11 of his shot attempts as part of his 30-point, 16-rebound effort against the Rockets, became just the second player in NBA history to record at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a single game while shooting perfectly from the field. The other player to accomplish this feat was Wilt Chamberlain, who did it multiple times throughout his career.
thumbnail-image: #4 Jan. 12, 2012 at Warriors: Dwight Howard As part of his 45-point, 23-rebound performance, Howard set a new NBA record for most free throws attempted in a single game when he took 39 of them against the Warriors. Wilt Chamberlain, who took 34 foul shots during a 1962 game, previously held the record. A year later in his first trip back to Orlando following being traded to the Lakers, Howard once again attempted 39 free throws.
thumbnail-image: #3 Feb. 8, 2010 vs. Hornets: Vince Carter Carter, a Daytona Beach native, had his best performance in a Magic uniform against the New Orleans Hornets when he exploded for 48 points on 19-of-27 shooting overall and 6-of-10 from 3-point range. Orlando outscored New Orleans by 19 when Carter was on the floor, substantial considering the Magic only won by six that night.
thumbnail-image: #2 April 16, 2011 vs. Hawks: Dwight Howard Howard’s best scoring performance of his career came in Game 1 of Orlando’s first round playoff series against Atlanta in 2011 when he erupted for 46 points on 16-of-23 shooting. An All-Star in each of his final six seasons with the Magic, Howard also grabbed 19 rebounds that night. The Magic, however, lost that game and would eventually lose the series to the Hawks in six games.
thumbnail-image: #1 Dec. 31, 2012 vs. Heat: Nikola Vucevic Vucevic, a Magic newcomer at the time after being dealt to Orlando in the blockbuster Dwight Howard trade a few months earlier, set a new franchise record for most rebounds in a single game, collecting 29 of them against Miami on New Year’s Eve.
