Honorable Mentions Jae Crowder, 34th pick – He has certainly exceeded expectations throughout the early portion of his career, and now the Cavs hope he will be a lockdown defender and reliable spot-up 3-point shooter in the postseason. Dion Waiters, 4th pick – It’s been an up-and-down start to his career, and most recently he has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury. He hasn’t been as efficient this year compared to last but when he’s rolling he’s hard to stop. Terrence Ross, 8th pick – A knee injury has sidelined him the past few weeks, and the timing couldn’t have come at a worse time considering he was starting to get into a nice rhythm. He’s always been a good 3-and-D guy, and he’s incredibly athletic (won Slam Dunk contest). Austin Rivers, 10th pick – He, too, recently got injured (Achilles tendon). Before that setback, though, Rivers was playing some of the best basketball of his career. He scored 36 and 38 points in back-to-back games a couple weeks ago. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, 2nd pick – He’s a solid defender, but he never really developed offensively. He’s made seven 3-pointers throughout his career (none so far this season). Will Barton, 40th pick - He's evolved into a legitimate Sixth Man of the Year candidate in Denver. He's averaging career highs across the board this season.
