Celebrating 35 Years of Orlando Magic Basketball
...from Magic legends never to be forgotten to our current roster bursting with talent. A roster that features a young, exciting core in 2022-23 NBA Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero, 2022 All-Rookie First Teamer Franz Wagner, Markelle Fultz, Wendell Carter Jr., Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs, which just scratches the surface of the depth of this squad.
The 35th anniversary season will recognize the Magic tradition of heart and hustle, which represents the hard work and determination that has been in our DNA for more than three decades. This year we celebrate the here and now and the great future within sight.
The 2023-24 Classic Edition uniform celebrates the team’s 35th anniversary by bringing fans back in time and tapping into some fan-favorite memories. The uniform is a replica of the style worn by the Magic from 1998-2003, paying homage to the beloved Heart and Hustle era. It highlights the characteristic of hard work that has been part of the Magic’s DNA since the beginning.
The jersey features the retro Magic wordmark across the chest, which immediately conjures up a feeling of nostalgia for long-time Magic fans. One of the most iconic symbols for the Magic is the star, used throughout the uniform, both in the wordmark, and in the background pattern. The old-school look is locked in with another Magic staple, as pinstripes race up and down each side.
Magic fans have long-since told stories about why their love for the team dates back to these self-defining years. It's the period when the Magic came of age, showing who they were meant to be, a team that has always stood for hard work and determination, giving it everything they have every night. These traits have never faded over time, and they’re what makes Orlando a team fans are honored to cheer for. We celebrate the devotion of the fan with this year’s Classic uniform.

The Magic have seen great success in a relatively short history...
Philanthropy and volunteerism has always been an important part of the Magic’s history.
Off the court, on an annual basis, the Orlando Magic gives more than $2 million to the local community by way of sponsorships of events, donated tickets, autographed merchandise and grants. Orlando Magic community relations programs impact an estimated 100,000 kids each year, while a Magic staff-wide initiative provides more than 5,000 volunteer hours annually.
The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF), which serves at-risk youth, has distributed more than $29 million to local nonprofit community organizations over the last 34 years. Learn more about the OMYF’s impact on Central Florida and how you can participate in the giving.
