22 years, 105 days

A duel between future teammates resulted in 51-point games for each, as Kobe Bryant and Antawn Jamison battled in Oakland.

Bryant also collected seven rebounds and eight assists, while Jamison piled up 13 rebounds to lead Golden State to a 124-122 overtime victory over the purple and gold.

Bryant, who shot 18-of-35 from the field and a perfect 13-of-13 at the line, pushed his team to a 10-point lead after three quarters, but the Warriors fought back.

Keyed by Jamison, who went 21-of-29 to tie his career-high from three days earlier, Golden State used a 12-3 run to tie at 107 at the end of regulation.

Bryant played 51 minutes and gave the Lakers all he could in overtime, scoring 12 of his team’s 15 points in the extra period. But he was unable to connect on a 3-pointer to force double OT.

In additions to Bryant’s Herculean effort, Shaquille O’Neal piled up 25 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks, while Ron Harper flirted with a triple-double (six points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).
