In the fourth quarter, Kobe Bryant delivered. In overtime, Kobe Bryant delivered.

The budding superstar knocked down a pair of clutch shots to guide the Lakers to a 125-119 victory in Detroit.

After the Lakers entered the fourth quarter down by 11, they eventually worked their way back to an even score when Bryant — who had 16 points in that quarter alone — hit a 7-footer with 2.3 seconds left.

He saved eight more points for the added period, including another jumper with 32.6 seconds remaining that turned a one-point deficit into a lead the Lakers wouldn’t surrender.

Bryant powered the Lakers with 39 points on 16-of-28 shooting, while Shaquille O’Neal provided 26 points and 10 rebounds.

While Jerry Stackhouse had an enormous 46-point night for the Pistons, they were simply unable to contain Bryant down the stretch, as he entered the fourth with only 15 points.
