In a preview of things to come, the Sacramento Kings were unwillingly treated to the Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal Show.

The duo combined for 79 points to lead the Lakers’ 109-106 victory over the team that they would knock out of the next three postseasons.

Bryant scored exactly 40 points — reaching that mark for the first time in his career — while nearly reaching a triple-double with 10 rebounds and eight assists.

The Lakers fell behind by nine after the first quarter, but they eventually worked their way back behind Bryant and O’Neal, who had 39 points and 20 rebounds.

Six Kings finished with double-digit scoring, including Chris Webber (24 points, seven assists, seven rebounds), but L.A. took over in the final period.

The Lakers — who hauled in 26 offensive rebounds — outscored their foes in the fourth, 35-20, to secure their 18th consecutive victory.
