Having lost each of their last four games, the Lakers knew they needed to try something different, and Kobe Bryant did just that.

Bryant filled the stat sheet — especially with his passing — by collecting 14 points, 14 assists, nine rebounds and three steals in Los Angeles’ 102-84 win over Utah.

While coming one board short of a triple-double, he also shot 7-of-10 from the field.

Bryant’s distributing opened up opportunities for teammates like Metta World Peace (17 points, five 3-pointers) and Dwight Howard (17 points, 13 rebounds).

The Lakers shot 53.8 percent from the field, while the Jazz had nobody on their team reach 15 points. L.A. also had substantial advantages in rebounds (45-30), assists (26-16) and 3-pointers (9-3).
