In 1964, legendary bandleader and entrepreneur Lawrence Welk went for a drive in northern San Diego county, planning to invest in a grove of orange trees. Instead he bought a small hotel and a nine-hole golf course in Escondido.

Today, that property has grown into the 450-acre Welk Resorts San Diego, one of five luxurious vacation destinations owned by the Welk Resort Group, all designated Premier Properties by Interval International. You’ll find theatre and golf in Escondido, golf and tennis in Palm Springs, a luxury resort setting in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a theatre and resort hotel in Branson, MO, and luxury lodgings in Lake Tahoe. Our Welk Resorts timeshare properties have also been honored with Gold Crown status by Resort Condominiums International, a major worldwide vacation exchange organization.

Welk Resorts timeshares has two additional premium projects in development, the first in Breckenridge, CO, scheduled to break ground in 2016, and the second in Kauai, Hawaii, scheduled for 2018.
