Season Summary
Huertas ended up playing meaningful minutes for the Lakers, even leading the team with 3.4 assists per game, which ranked third among rookies. Though he scored double figures only three times and wasn't an above average defender, Huertas proved to be as crafty as they come with the ball. In particular, he shined in the final 21 games, when he received more minutes, by averaging 5.0 assists during this span. He was also a frequent member of the Lakers' highlights, given his knack for the no-look pass.

In His Own Words
"It's been a tough season for everyone; I think as a team and for me personally going through all our ups and downs. The final couple of months were really good, and I actually got to find my spot in the rotation and felt comfortable out there and was able to actually run the team on a consistent basis."
