Hamstring Strain Sidelines Williams
An ultrasound revealed on Wednesday that Lou Williams strained his left hamstring in the first half of Tuesday's win over Brooklyn. The injury will keep Williams off the floor for at least a week.
Williams, who didn't travel with the team to Denver, scored double figures in each of his previous eight games, averaging 17.0 points and 2.0 3-pointers.
The reigning Sixth Man of the Year missed only three games all year up to this point. He had a nearly perfect bill of health with Toronto last year, too, sitting only two contests.
Williams' absence figures to mean more minutes for several players, notably backup point guard Marcelo Huertas, who tallied five assists in 13 minutes against the Nets.
