Toronto Sends Kobe Off to Ovation
A friendly Toronto crowd showered Kobe Bryant with cheers from the minute he took the floor for pregame warmups, but saved their loudest ovation for his final regular season exit in The Six.
With (a very appropriate) 24 seconds remaining and the Lakers trailing by eight, head coach Byron Scott ordered up Bryant's curtain call and the fans happily obliged with a standing ovation and "M-V-P" chants.
After cleaning up and speaking to the media, Kobe met with L.A. native DeMar DeRozan and, his Raptor teammate, Jonas Valanciunas.
We couldn't let @kobebryant leave without a token of our appreciation. A @Raptors gift for one of the GOATs. #Kobe20 pic.twitter.com/PIZJz2iLxZ
