Hey there Lakers fans!
My name is Chloe and this is my 2nd year as a Los Angeles Laker Girl. I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am to have been given the opportunity to dance for such an amazing team for two seasons. Both seasons of the L.A. Lakers and D-Fenders have only been over for a few weeks and I am already feeling nostalgic, but I’m happy that we (the Laker Girls) are continuing to participate in exciting events around Southern California!

Along with attending various community events, I have also been staying busy with school and by staying active! Although I truly miss dancing/performing out on the court, I’ve been maintaining my dance training at school during the off-season. (since I’m a dance major) Along with several ballet and modern classes, one of my favorite classes is West African dance, which I am enrolled in at school. In addition to dance classes, I enjoy taking cardio barre classes to stay in shape!
Last week, the Laker Girls celebrated the close of the season with our end of the season dinner. Throughout the evening, we all took turns sharing some of our favorite memories of the 2013-14 NBA season. This year has flown by extremely fast due to the fact that we’ve been so busy, so it was nice to pause and take the time to reflect on all the great times we’ve shared with each other. Not to mention, with you – all the Lakers fans!
An upcoming event that I’m looking forward to is the Laker Girls Workshop on June 14th! We hope all you dancers age 16 and over will come out to this fun and informative event, whether you are looking to audition for pro teams, or just want to come dance and have a good time!
I would like you all to know that we are so grateful for all the love and support the fans give us and we hope you continue to show your Lakers spirit even in the off-season! You all remind us everyday that the Lakers truly have the best fan base and we look forward to seeing you all next season back at STAPLES Center! (or out in the community)
