#99 George Mikan

At the time of his playing career, Mikan transcended the game with his varied skillset. His rebounding and shot-blocking skills, coupled with his deft touch around the basket (courtesy of the “Mikan Drill”) redefined the game for future big men in the league. He was so dominant during his time that the NBA made several rule changes, including the introduction of the shot clock and widening the foul lane, known as the “Mikan Rule.” He spent seven seasons with the Minneapolis Lakers, one while in the BAA, averaging 23.1 points, 13.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
