Bynum was the youngest player drafted by any NBA team when the Lakers selected him with the No. 10 overall pick in 2005. He spent seven years in Los Angeles, averaging 11.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. During the 2012 offseason, he was traded to Philadelphia as part of a four-team trade that also brought Dwight Howard to the Lakers.
