Holiday Party for Kids 2016

Official Lakers Release

One hundred kids from LA’s Best gathered at the Gordon Clubhouse in El Segundo to celebrate this holiday season at the annual Holiday Party for Kids, sponsored by East West Bank.

As the kids arrived at this special Season of Giving event, they received t-shirts and were welcomed by the Laker Girls. Tarik Black and Jordan Clarkson helped serve lunch, while other players met and took pictures with the kids. When they finished up eating, everyone walked outside to find a winter wonderland.

With a snow covered hill, the kids and players enjoyed sleigh rides and snow ball fights, along with foosball, an inflatable obstacle course, and of course a little basketball. Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, and Thomas Robinson took turns posing as Santa for pictures with the kids.

After playing in the snow and meeting all the players, the kids returned inside for a gingerbread cookie decorating competition. With icing, sprinkles, and candy toppings, the kids went straight to work. The two winners of the competition each received four tickets to the Lakers Christmas Day game.

When the event came to a close, all of the kids received a gift bag full of Lakers and East West Bank goodies. The memories from this year’s Holiday Party for Kids are sure to last a lifetime.
