Lakers Staff Teams Up for Holiday Shopping

On Thursday, December 12th, Lakers Staff came together for the annual Holiday Shopping Team Up. With holiday wish lists in hand, staff from the Los Angeles Lakers and South Bay Lakers took a trip to Target and shopped for 10 homeless families from Los Angeles United School District.

With purple Santa hats and Lakers t-shirts on, staff dispersed throughout the store aisles and began searching for the perfect items on each family’s wish list. Each of the ten teams were tasked with providing for the family’s needs, along with some fun gifts for the kids.

After the spree was complete and every gift was crossed off each wish list, everyone returned to the UCLA Health Training Center to wrap the presents.

After an afternoon of gift-wrapping and bow placing, the presents were delivered to
LAUSD offices to be given to the families.

This event is a highlight of the Lakers Team Up program each year, especially giving back to those in need during the holidays.
