Camp Lakers 2022 presented by UCLA Health

Camp Lakers, powered by UCLA Health, is back for the 21st summer! At Camp Lakers young players are provided with the ultimate Lakers experience. All week, campers will learn to play the Lakers way, honing their basketball skills and discovering the importance of hard work, teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship, on and off the court.

All five days of Camp Lakers are held at The Map Sports Facility in Garden Grove, California. The Map Sports Facility features premium full indoor courts in an innovative championship-level arena located conveniently off the 405 freeway.

Camp Lakers features instructors overseen by members of the Lakers Basketball Operations staff. Camp consists of offensive and defensive drill stations, games, league play, playoffs and awarded skill contests. Campers are grouped by age and ability.


Who: Aspiring Basketball Players, Ages 8-17
What: Day Camp, 9am - 4pm (Parent pick-up must be completed by 4:15pm)

Session 1: Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 22
Session 2: Monday, July 25 - Friday, July 29

Camp Breakdown

  • Day 1 – Camper Draft, Fundamentals of Defense, Drills, Games
  • Day 2 – Fundamentals of Passing, Drills, Games
  • Day 3 – Fundamentals of Ball Handling, Drills, Games
  • Day 4 – Fundamentals of Shooting, Drills, Games
  • Day 5 – Championship Friday

Each Camper Receives:

  • Official Camp Lakers reversible jersey
  • Lakers gift bag
  • Photo with Lakers NBA Championship Trophy
  • Opportunity to win autographed memorabilia and merchandise
  • Instruction from coaches with a 10:1 camper to coach ratio

Lunch will be provided, and water coolers are available each day. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle. Participants with dietary restrictions, medical conditions or food allergies should bring their own lunch. Please note that there are no refrigerators available at Camp.

Camp tuition for each camper is $650 per session, with all tuition proceeds benefitting the Lakers Youth Foundation. The Lakers Youth Foundation is the official team charity of the Los Angeles Lakers, dedicated to helping underserved youth develop their potential by providing positive experiences and resources in education, health and wellness and sports.

Camp Lakers features instructors overseen by members of the Lakers Basketball Operations staff. Lakers Community Relations staff are always on-site, as well as training and medical staff. Parents are required to sign their camper out each day with their coach.

Health and Safety
To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to promote the health and well-being of participants and staff, Camp Lakers is committed to adhering to the current health officer orders applicable to the camp as well as any applicable laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, protocols, or guidelines respecting COVID-19.  For more information about the most recent health officer orders and recommendations issued by the Orange County Health Officer,
please visit  Camp Lakers may cancel or modify camp activities due to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases.  

Camp Lakers registrants may request a refund of their tuition fees paid, less processing fees, at any time prior to the first day of the camp session.  No refunds are permitted on or following the first day of the camp session unless camp activities are cancelled by Camp Lakers.
