The Los Angeles Lakers hosted their annual “Wish Night with the Lakers” at STAPLES Center on January 20th, 2016. The Los Angeles Lakers proudly support the efforts of Make-A-Wish of Greater Los Angeles and to show their appreciation $1,000 was donated to the organization from the Lakers Youth Foundation for every dunk that was made by the Lakers. As the game came to a close the grand total of $9,000 was donated to Make-A-Wish of Greater LA!

To kick of Lakers Wish Night, longtime volunteer Lewie Levy offered his words of wisdom to the team captains as the Honorary Team Captain for the evening. Following the meeting Lakers Wish Kid of the Night, Spencer, delivered the game ball to the referees to officially tip off the game.

The staff and volunteers from Make-A-Wish of Greater LA also joined the Lakers on Wish Night by sitting in section 323 & 324 of STAPLES Center, also donated by the Lakers Youth Foundation. And Spencer the Wish Kid of the Night was highlighted during the game with a huge found of applause from the crowd.

To conclude the evening Kobe Bryant was able to make another wish come true with meeting with Spencer and his family after the game. Bryant is one of the most requested individuals to have a “Wish Meeting” from Make-A-Wish and he does not turn down an opportunity to make these wishes come true.

“Wish Night with the Lakers” was a huge success with a $9,000 donation made to Make-A-Wish of Greater LA!
