A youth-focused partnership designed to build healthier communities.
As a member of the Active Alliance, a partnership with HealthCorps and The California Endowment, the Lakers Youth Foundation is committed to improving health in children and teaching kids fun and practical ways to stay healthy and active. The foundation will create safe environments for children to play and be active as well as provide children with free access to quality nutrition and fitness programs. Among these projects will be Highway to Health community health fairs, basketball court and playground renovations, Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service community projects, cooking workshops, and basketball, fitness and dance clinics with team players, Lakers alumni and Laker Girls.
