Knicks Trade Alec Burks and Nerlens Noel to Detroit

NEW YORK, July 11, 2022 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has acquired the draft rights to Nikola Radicevic and a future second round draft pick from Detroit in exchange for guard Alec Burks, center Nerlens Noel, two future second round draft picks and cash considerations.

Radicevic, 6-5, 200 pounds, was originally selected in the second round (57th overall) by Denver in the 2015 NBA Draft. He currently plays for Bilbao (Spain).

Burks, 6-6, 216 pounds, appeared in 130 games (49 starts) for New York, averaging 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists over 27.5 minutes over two seasons. He was originally signed as a free agent on Nov. 22, 2020 and then re-signed on Aug. 18, 2021.

Noel, 6-10, 200 pounds, averaged 4.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks over 23.7 minutes in 89 games (52 starts) over two seasons for New York. He was originally signed by New York as a free agent on Nov. 25, 2020 and then re-signed on Aug. 11, 2021.
