Knicks Sign Trevor Keels to Two-Way Contract

NEW YORK, March 12, 2023 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard Trevor Keels to a two-way contract and waived center Moses Brown. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Keels, 6-5, 224-pounds, is averaging 15.0 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds over 31.8 minutes in 22 games (all starts) this season for the Westchester Knicks. In 13 games (11 starts) during the 2022 AT&T Winter Showcase, he averaged 12.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists over 29.8 minutes. He was originally selected by New York in the second round (42nd overall pick) of the 2022 NBA Draft out of Duke University. He was signed to a two-way contract on July 10 and then a 10-day contract on Feb. 23. He has appeared in two games for New York.

The Clinton, MD-native earned ACC All-Freshman honors during the 2021-22 season after averaging 11.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.22 steals over 30.2 minutes in 36 games (26 starts). He was the team’s third leading scorer behind Paolo Banchero (first overall pick, Orlando) and Wendell Moore (26th pick, Dallas traded to Minnesota). He was twice named ACC Freshman of the Week.

The roster now stands at 16 players with two two-way players.
