Knicks Sign Svi Mykhailiuk

NEW YORK, September 18, 2022 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard/forward Svi Mykhailiuk to a contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mykhailiuk, 6-7, 205-pounds, holds career averages of 6.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 17 minutes in 220 games (46 starts) over four seasons with LA Lakers, Toronto, Detroit and Oklahoma City. He appeared in 56 games (five starts) for Toronto last season, averaging 4.6 points and 1.6 rebounds over 12.8 minutes.

The Cherkasey, Ukraine-native, was originally selected by LA Lakers in the second round (47th overall) of 2018 NBA Draft. He played collegiately at the University of Kansas for four seasons, averaging 8.7 points and 2.5 rebounds over 126 games (70 starts). He helped the Jayhawks to four Big 12 regular-season titles, two Big 12 Tournament Championships, three appearances in the Elite Eight and one Final Four.
