NEW YORK, August 3, 2023 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed Dmytro Skapintsev to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Skapintsev, 25-years-old (7-1, 215 pounds), appeared in five games for the Knicks 2023 Summer League team in Las Vegas, NV. He averaged 7.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assist and 1.8 blocks over 17.3 minutes.
The Cherkasy, Ukraine-native, averaged 8.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27 games (eight starts) this past season for the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks. During the 2022-23 G League Showcase Cup, Skapintsev registered 4.3 points and 4.1 rebounds over 14.6 minutes in 15 games (three starts). He also made an appearance in the 2022 FIBA Europe Cup with Kyiv-Basket club and recorded 8.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists.
