The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has acquired Kevin Huerter from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Maurice Harkless, Justin Holiday and a future first round pick, according to General Manager Monte McNair.

“The opportunity to acquire a player like Kevin is always exciting,” said Kings General Manager Monte McNair. “His ability to create shots and score will make him an instant asset to our team. We would also like to thank Maurice Harkless and Justin Holiday for their many contributions and wish them all the best in the future.”

Huerter, 23, played for Atlanta for the last four seasons (2018-22). During the 2021-22 campaign, Huerter averaged 12.1 points (.454 FG%, .389 3PT%, .808 FT%) 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 29.6 minutes per game through 74 games (60 starts).

The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has acquired guard Terence Davis from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a 2021 second-round draft selection.

“Terence is a talented young player that adds depth and scoring ability to our backcourt,” said General Manager Monte McNair. “We are excited to see what he brings to Sacramento.”

During the 2020-21 season, Davis has accrued averages of 6.9 points (.414 FG%, .361 3pt%, .889 FT%), 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 14.5 minutes per game in 34 games (4 starts). In two seasons for the Toronto Raptors (2019-21), the former Ole Miss alum has posted averages of 7.3 points (.443 FG%, .379 3pt%, .870 FT%), 2.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 16.1 minutes per game in 106 games (8 starts).

In a subsequent roster move, the Kings have waived forward/center Mfiondu Kabengele.

The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has acquired forward Maurice Harkless and forward Chris Silva from the Miami Heat in exchange for forward Nemanja Bjelica.

&nbsp;“We are pleased to add Maurice and Chris to the team and welcome them to Sacramento,” said Kings General Manager Monte McNair. “Each player brings depth, defensive presence and athleticism to the wing and frontcourt. We also thank Nemanja for his contributions to the team during his career in Sacramento. His veteran presence has been invaluable, and we wish the very best for him and his family.”

During the 2020-21 season, Harkless has averaged 1.4 points (.385 FG%, .455 3pt%), 1.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 11.3 minutes per game in 11 games (3 starts). Through his career, the former St. John’s player has accrued averages of 7.0 points (.478 FG%, .326 3pt%, .610 FT%), 3.7 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 22.8 minutes per game in 548 games (327 starts) across nine NBA seasons with the Orlando Magic (2012-15), Portland Trail Blazers (2015-19), LA Clippers (2019-20), New York Knicks (2019-20) and Heat (2020-21).&nbsp; &nbsp;

This season, Silva has averaged 2.7 points (.692 FG%, .733 FT%), 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 7.5 minutes per game in 11 games (0 starts). In two seasons with Miami, Silva’s career averages are 3.0 points (.626 FG%, .686 FT%), 2.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 7.8 minutes per game in 55 games (0 starts).”

In a subsequent roster move, the Kings have waived forward Jabari Parker.

The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has acquired guard Delon Wright (Deh-LON Wright) from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for guard Cory Joseph, a 2021 second-round draft selection and a 2024 second-round draft selection.

“We are excited to welcome Delon to the Kings family and to add his experience, defensive length, ability to create opportunities in the lane and capacity to finish strong to our backcourt,” said Kings General Manager Monte McNair. “At the same time, we thank Cory for his contributions to the team, veteran leadership and remarkable durability. A consummate professional and respected mentor, we wish Cory and his family all the best moving forward.”

During the 2020-21 season, Wright has averaged 10.4 points (.464 FG%, .348 3pt%, .789 FT%), 4.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 29.2 minutes per game in 36 games (31 starts).

Over six NBA seasons, the University of Utah product has garnered career averages of 7.6 points (.452 FG%, .343 3pt%, .790 FT%), 3.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 20.9 minutes per game in 307 games (54 starts) with the Toronto Raptors (2015-19), Memphis Grizzlies (2018-19), Dallas Mavericks (2019-20) and Detroit (2020-21).

The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has acquired forward/center Mfiondu Kabengele (fee-ON-doo cabin-gelly), a future second-round draft selection and cash considerations from the LA Clippers in exchange for a future second-round draft selection.

During the 2020-21 season, Kabengele has averaged 1.2 points (.281 FG%, .222 3pt%, .833 FT%), 0.6 rebounds and 4.1 minutes per game in 23 games. In his second season out of Florida State, Kabengele has accrued career averages of 2.0 points (.359 FG%, .342 3pt%, .909 FT%), 0.7 rebounds and 4.5 minutes per game in 35 games played with the LA Clippers.

Sacramento’s roster now stands at 17 players.

Tonight, the Sacramento Kings acquired the draft rights to forward Robert Woodard II from the Memphis Grizzlies and a 2022 second-round draft selection in exchange for the draft rights to forward Xavier Tillman Sr., according to General Manager Monte McNair. 

Sacramento drafted Tillman Sr. with the 35th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft before sending the Michigan State junior to Memphis, while the Grizzlies selected Woodard II with the 40th pick before his rights were traded to the Kings.

A native of Columbus, Miss., the Mississippi State sophomore averaged 11.4 points (.495 FG%, .429 3pt%, .641 FT%), 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 33.1 minutes per game in 31 games (all starts) during the 2019-20 season. Woodard II led the Bulldogs in steals (35) and was one of three Power 5 players to accrue averages of more than 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks. He also registered double figures in scoring for 19 games, ranking third on the team. In high school, the four-star recruit and two-time Gatorade Player of the Year was the state of Mississippi’s top prospect for the Class of 2018.
