Today, the Sacramento Kings announced enhancements fans can expect to see at Golden 1 Center during the 2023-24 NBA Season.&nbsp;

“As we gear up for the regular season, we are excited to enrich our fan experience,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “From exclusive benefits, interactive experiences, new food and beverage concepts and more convenient ways to pay, we are committed to making sure fans have an enjoyable game day.”

Given the tremendous fan participation in the Kings loyalty program, Royalty Pass, the team has created an enhanced model, Royalty Pass+, a paid membership that grants fans access to exclusive game-day and season-long benefits, including food and beverage credit at each home game, a $50 Kings Team Store credit, members-only gear, invitations to private events, Playoffs presale access and more.&nbsp; Fans can purchase a membership at Kings.com/RoyaltyPassPlus.&nbsp;

Royalty Pass, the free-to-join Kings loyalty program, continues this season with new, personalized ways for fans to unlock exclusive offers and earn rewards for engaging with the team. By watching and attending games, purchasing Kings gear, playing predictive gaming and more, fans can complete challenges and earn food and beverage credit at Golden 1 Center, valuable discounts at the Kings Team Store, and other great prizes. Also new this season, fans will be able to take part in an interactive game, the Golden 1 Skills&nbsp;Challenge, located at Section 111. During the experience, fans are&nbsp;encouraged to follow movements directed by Sacramento Kings beloved mascot, Slamson and the Golden 1 Credit Union mascot, Goldie, including dribbling on a mini court. As fans collect points, they are rewarded with an opportunity to take a photo with the Sacramento Kings Victory Beam.

Starting this season, Kings fans will enjoy faster, more convenient purchasing experiences throughout the arena via Clover® Sport technology from Fiserv. Nearly 300 Clover devices will be deployed in concession locations and premium seating areas, creating faster checkout times.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Also, this season, Golden 1 Center is expanding mobile ordering options, powered by the Tapin2 platform, to every stand in the arena allowing fans to stay in the action and order from their seats for mobile pickup.

Building on Golden 1 Center’s award-winning, locally sourced food and beverage program, the venue has announced a variety of new offerings for Kings fans this season, including a Birria Grilled Cheese at Centro’s, a Double Smash Burger with 916 Sauce at Café Bernardo’s and Gyro Fires at Petra Greek, to name a few.

Fans interested in quick snacks and beverages can visit Power Market, a self-service convenience store, located on the Plaza level near Section 118. This grab and go space, utilizing Mashgin AI and computer vision for the checkout process, will provide fans with gameday needs such as water, chips, candies and more.&nbsp;

Wine enthusiasts can visit the new in-arena wine destination with varietals produced from California’s most noteworthy regions at Belle Glos Wine Cellar, located by the southwest entrance of the arena. The location will offer&nbsp;wine by the bottle and glass from brands such as Belle Glos, Boen, Elouan and Napa Valley Quilt.&nbsp;

The Market Kitchen, a new concept located at Section 201, adjacent to the Sierra Nevada Draught House, will highlight chicken wings and feature the Kings 2023 Capitalize: Food winner, Sugar Coated Cupcakes, with their Chicken and Waffle Cupcakes.

This season, the team has bolstered the Sacramento Kings Kids Club, presented by Delta Dental of California. Parents can sign their kids up for the free membership at Kings.com/KidsClub to have access to special news and family-friendly opportunities throughout the season, or upgrade to the 2023-24 Kids Club All-Star Membership to get a kit full of Kings gear and exclusive perks which will go on sale at Fan Fest on October 21.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Kings have also enhanced the First Game Program, presented by First 5 California which includes a certificate, mini ball and commemorative button for fans attending a game for the first time. Kings fans can pick up these items at the First Game kiosk located at Section 124.

As the Kings renovate their flagship Team Store, fans are encouraged to visit the Team Store located at the southwest entrance on L Street open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or shop online at KingsTeamStore.com. In addition, on home game days, fans can shop at a special pop-up location on the main floor of DOCO’s West Plaza across from Macy’s starting October 15. Renovations are expected to be finalized in late-November.&nbsp;

Today, the Sacramento Kings, in partnership with 3BALL USA, announced the twelve professional men’s 3x3 teams and the four pools for the Group Stage of the 2nd annual 3x3 International Cup set to take place at Golden 1 Center on Sunday, October 1, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The FIBA-endorsed competition, upgraded to Quest status this year, will see teams vying for cash prizes and a coveted spot on the FIBA 3x3 World Tour (the highest and most prestigious level of the sport’s professional circuit). Participants will also earn FIBA 3x3 ranking points, which are the key to qualifying for major 3x3 events, including the Olympic Games.

This event is designed for fans of all-ages and free to the public, with tickets required for admission. Complimentary tickets can be claimed now at Kings.com/3x3. Parking will be available for $5 in the DOCO West Garage.&nbsp;

The three international teams that will be visiting Sacramento to compete in this year’s competition include Mexico City, Jamaica, and Jeddah.

Team Mexico City features two of the four players from Mexico’s most recent men’s 3x3 National Team: Jorge Perez and Julio Ruiz. The new additions are Gabriel Gonzalez and Pablo Garcia, who also has experience playing for the Mexico National Team. This is a smart and crafty team with four knockdown shooters.

Team Jamaica is a talented and athletic squad led by Romaine Thomas (#5 ranked player in Jamaica) and 6’11” Kevin Foster (#6 in Jamaica), along with a pair of promising rookies: Marcus Lewis and Marcus Patterson.

Team Jeddah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia includes a diverse group of international players, featuring experienced 3x3 players from France (Dominique Gentil and Kevin Corre), Lithuania (Ovidijus Varanauskas), and the United States (Malik Hluchoweckyj). With a recent head-to-head win over the world’s #1 team (Ub of Serbia), Jeddah comes in as the #2 seed and will be a dangerous matchup for any team they face.

The first 5,000 fans who attend on Sunday will receive a limited-edition trading card featuring former Sacramento King Jimmer Fredette, who will be playing for Team Miami in the tournament. The 3.5” x 2.5” UV glossy card is the first-ever trading card for an American FIBA 3x3 player.&nbsp;

Additionally, one lucky fan will receive a unique card with a couple of visual distinctions to set it apart. The holder of this one-of-a-kind card will be invited to meet Fredette following the tournament. Fredette will sign the card, take photos and give the fan his game-worn jersey from the tournament in addition to an official FIBA 3x3 basketball.&nbsp;

The pool composition and seeding were automatically determined by the teams’ respective FIBA 3x3 ranking. Teams earn their 3x3 ranking points based on participation and performance in high-level FIBA Pro Circuit and FIBA-endorsed events. The top 2 teams from each pool will advance to the Quarterfinals.&nbsp;

FIBA 3x3 is the lightning-fast version of 3-on-3 basketball that will take center stage at the Paris Olympic Games in Summer 2024. Played on a compact halfcourt (36’ by 49’), games are fast-paced with 12-second shot clocks, a live ball after made baskets and end in 10 minutes or when a team reaches 21 points with an emphasis on speed, physicality and non-stop action. Game balls are the size of a women’s basketball, the weight of a men’s basketball and designed with deep grooves suited to the fast-paced game. Today, the Sacramento Kings, in partnership with CHEQ, announced an innovative technology partnership for mobile ordering, social payments and express kiosks at Golden 1 Center. As a result, fans will be able to use CHEQ’s technology to reduce order wait times in the arena and share the gameday experience with their friends during the 2022-23 NBA Season.

“Golden 1 Center continues to push the envelope, remaining at the forefront of new technology to provide a seamless payment experience for our fans,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “Additionally, with CHEQ’s new social sharing feature, fans outside of the arena can add to the fun of the game by sending purchases to their friends and family inside the venue from anywhere in the world.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Kings and the entire Sacramento community to enhance the gameday experience,” said CHEQ Co-Founder and CRO Jake Stone. “In addition to social sharing, our technology enables fans to reduce wait times for their favorite foods by placing orders on their phones for select locations.”

Mobile ordering for pick-up will be available at select concession locations throughout the arena starting Friday as the team takes on the Oklahoma City Thunder, enabling fans to enjoy their favorite food, beverages and treats easily and friction-free. In addition, express kiosk ordering will be enabled at four of the busiest concessions in the arena.

Under the agreement, CHEQ will become the Official Mobile Ordering and Social Payments Partner of the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center and Kings Guard Gaming.

Today, the Sacramento Kings announced the newest premium and exclusive space in Golden 1 Center, The Club by Red Hawk Casino. The Club will officially be unveiled in early October.

“We are thrilled to partner with Red Hawk Casino to bring a new and luxurious location for fans to enjoy Kings games,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “The Club is a unique premium space in Golden 1 Center that allows fans to entertain while enjoying the live in-game experience.”

The renovated space located on the Suite Level of Golden 1 Center features VIP sections with leather seating, private cocktail tables and glass railings for unobstructed court views. The Club features a complimentary all-inclusive buffet-style experience, including beer and wine offerings and curated farm-to-fork cuisine inspired by Henry’s Steakhouse, located at Red Hawk Casino. Premium cocktails will also be available for purchase.

Today, the Sacramento Kings relaunched the Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center mobile app with new and improved features, providing fans opportunities to get even closer to the team by earning rewards, ordering food, managing tickets, and more. Enhancing the innovative combination of team and venue app, the redesign enables a more personalized experience for fans, allowing individuals to enjoy content and experiences customized to their location, preferences, and engagement.

“We are committed to enhancing the guest experience by providing fans more personalized content,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “The app, which we fondly call a remote control for the arena, is designed to ensure an exceptional and seamless journey to, in and outside of Golden 1 Center.”

Through the app, the team is offering the all-new Royalty Pass, the Sacramento Kings loyalty program helping the organization further surprise, delight and reward fans based on their engagement. App users can compete in Fan Challenges, including attending games, watching broadcasts and engaging with the Kings through trivia and more. Fans that participate in Challenges can earn rewards on their Royalty Pass including free food and drinks, gear from the Team Store, custom Kings jerseys and autographed items. Kings Season Ticket Members can also use the Royalty Pass to enjoy their member-exclusive discounts on food, drinks and merchandise.

In addition, the app features new chat functionality that gives fans access to a variety of services and information, including curated content on their favorite player, in-depth arena support, way-finding, and seamless discovery of Kings merchandise and ticket offerings. Powered by GameOn Technology, the chat bot within the Kings app provides a virtual concierge service for those who are visiting or plan to visit Golden 1 Center.

Moreover, fans and guests will be able to buy, manage and transfer tickets to Kings games and Golden 1 Center events via the app.

Today, in honor of 916 Day, the Sacramento Kings revealed Golden 1 Center’s five-year anniversary celebration including sweepstakes, Fan Fest, Hoop Fest and theme nights fans can look forward to for the 2021-22 Season.   

“Golden 1 Center was created to bring people together and has done so for the past five years with performances by entertainment’s biggest acts, Sacramento Kings basketball and community-centered events,” said Sacramento Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé. “We have built a world-class facility in the heart of Sacramento, but what makes Golden 1 Center truly great is its community. We are thrilled to continue welcoming the world’s greatest fans back to the arena with another impressive lineup of concerts, games and events.”

Since opening, the arena has become the center of more than $6.5 billion in investment in the greater Downtown area. With 59 new development projects completed, 28 projects under construction and 81 more projects proposed, Golden 1 Center has been a key part of revitalization efforts across the grid.

To celebrate the arena’s five-year anniversary, fans will have the opportunity to enter a season-long sweepstakes to win free tickets to each event held in the venue through June 2022.

On Saturday, October 9, the Kings will host their annual free Fan Fest and Open Practice in anticipation of the upcoming 2021-22 season at Golden 1 Center. This all-ages event will be free and open to the public, with tickets required for admission. Fans can reserve up to four general admission tickets at Kings.com/FanFest. Fan Fest parking can be reserved online at reserve.sacpark.org for $5 for the West Garage. Anyone paying online will automatically pay $5, while those who pay day of will pay the listed rate. Before Fan Fest, fans will have the opportunity to listen to live DJs and watch or participate in Hoop Fest, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on the DOCO Plaza starting at 11 a.m. Participants must be at least 15 years old and vaccinated to participate as the championship game will be held inside Golden 1 Center on the court. To sign up to participate in Hoop Fest, visit Kings.com/HoopFest. Fans can also visit Tahoe Blue Ridge in the plaza to enjoy food and beverage including new signature cocktails and a selection of flavored popcorn or items from one of DOCO’s other favorite eateries.

Season Ticket Members and Golden 1 Credit Union members will have early access into the arena at 11:45 a.m. with doors opening at 12 p.m. The 916 Crew and Kings Street Team will be on hand, playing games with fans and passing out prizes throughout the concourse and plaza. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to take photos with the NBA Summer League trophy on the concourse. The full Kings roster and coaching staff will participate in an open practice featuring team drills, skills challenges, a scrimmage, and the traditional rookie dance contest. In addition, fans will have an opportunity to stock up on the newest gear from the Kings Team Store ahead of Opening Night.

Additionally, youth ages 6-14 are invited to participate in a Jr. Kings youth basketball clinic at 9 a.m. on October 9 to coincide with Fan Fest and tip-off Jr. NBA Week. Spots are limited and will be available for purchase at Kings.com/JrKings later this month.

Last month, the Kings announced their full season schedule, which will showcase a number of interactive and immersive theme nights. Breast Health Awareness will take place on October 24 and Mental Health Awareness on January 10, while Salute to First Responders and Service will take place on November 5 and November 8, respectively. The team will celebrate Latinx Heritage on October 14, Diwali on November 3, Native American and Indigenous Heritage on November 24, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage on December 8, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 16, Black History Month tips off on February 2, Lunar New Year will be celebrated on February 5, Women’s Empowerment on March 14, Greek Heritage on March 16 and Slamson’s birthday on March 20. Following the recent announcement by Governor Newsom regarding the resumption of limited fans in attendance for live events at indoor venues across the state, the Sacramento Kings announced today that they will honor and thank frontline workers by inviting them to be the first fans back at Golden 1 Center on April 20 when the team takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“We are thrilled to safely welcome fans back to the arena, starting with frontline workers who have sacrificed tremendously throughout this pandemic,” said Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis. “We have worked closely with state and county public health officials and the NBA to implement comprehensive safety protocols and measures to enable fans to return to Golden 1 Center.”

Capacity for the first game back will be approximately 1,600 frontline workers preselected in collaboration with local nonprofits and corporate partners. For subsequent games, and in accordance with health guidelines and physical distancing, the Kings will gradually expand the number of paid fans in attendance as the team hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves (April 21), Dallas Mavericks (April 26), Utah Jazz (April 28, May 16), San Antonio Spurs (May 7) and Oklahoma City Thunder (May 9 and 11).

Single-game tickets for the next three regular-season Kings games, April 21, 26 and 28, at Golden 1 Center will be available via pre-sale opportunities for Season Ticket Members beginning on Wednesday, April 14 at 10 a.m. Any remaining seats will be made available to the general public on Friday, April 16 at 10 a.m. on Kings.com. Tickets for May dates will be made available at a later date.
