Sacramento Kings-Golden 1 Center Parking FAQs

Golden 1 Center, the new home of the Sacramento Kings is located on 500 David J Stern Way and is accessible by a variety of travel modes including public transit (bus and light rail), walking, bicycling, and driving. Additionally, limousines, charter buses, Paratransit, rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft, and taxis will be available for guests.

We recommend purchasing pre-paid parking passes online for both Golden 1 Center events and Kings games through the City of Sacramento via the SacPark website. (Season Ticket Member presale access code required until 9/1/2016.) Parking garages associated with Golden 1 Center are scheduled to open two (2) hours prior to the start of the event or tipoff.

On non-event days, paid public parking is available for those visiting the Kings Team Store, Box Office, or those taking a public tour. Public parking can be accessed via Downtown Commons West Garage (3rd & L).

Pedestrian walkways to Golden 1 Center are available via 5th & J Street, 7th & K Street, and 5th & L Street. Non-event day guests to the arena should enter at the Media Entrance on David J Stern Walk to check in with security for access.

Freeway access is available via Interstate 5, the W-X Freeway, State Route 160 (SR-160), Business 80 (Capital City Freeway), and State Route 99.

Full season passes will be available for purchase until September 1. After this date, the general public will have access to pre-pruchase single-game and event parking, and members can visit the SacPark website to purchase single-game and event parking passes. Ability to pre-purchase for specific parking garages is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

Q. How will the parking passes be delivered?
A. Physically printed parking passes will not be distributed. Kings season ticket members can access their parking passes through the SacPark website with their account information and provide a print-at-home pass or show on their mobile device on game night to the parking structure staff.

Q. Can parking passes be managed digitally? (forwarded, etc.)  Where can they be managed?
A. Parking passes can be managed digitally via the SacPark website. Parking passes can be downloaded for easy transferring.

Q. Will there be an opportunity to reserve a specific spot or floor of a garage, or is it all General Admission?
A. Parking spaces are not assigned but first-come, first-served. Ability to pre-purchase for specific parking garages is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

Q. What times/hours are the passes eligible for?
A. Flat rate pricing begins two (2) hours prior to a Golden 1 Center event up to the end of the event. Pre-purchased passes will be allowed into a garage two (2) hours prior to and good until two (2) hours after the event.

Q. What safety measures will be in place for the fans walking to and from the parking lots?
A. The safety of our fans is of utmost importance. Security officers, downtown guides, city personnel, and city police will all be a part of our overall Golden 1 Center security plan both on fan ingress and egress.

Q. Will any sort of shuttle service be available from more distant parking lots?
A. Shuttle service will not be available from the downtown garages.

Q. Will tailgating be allowed?
A. Tailgating is not allowed in any city parking garages.

Q. What if someone has a pass in a downtown lot for work? Can they stay, do they need to exit and re-enter?
A. In city garages, monthly customers can stay in their respective parking structures without an additional fee for Golden 1 Center events. Contact the garage operator for more information.
