Phil Jabour

VP Player Personnel

Phil Jabour enters his second season as Sacramento’s Vice President of Player Personnel. In this role, Jabour is responsible for overseeing the structure and processes of the scouting department while contributing to strategy, roster building and player agent collaboration. Jabour brings more than 15 years of experience in the league to Sacramento’s front office, most recently serving as Director of Scouting for the Philadelphia 76ers, where he was heavily involved in day-to-day personnel operations. During his six years in Philadelphia, he helped retool how the 76ers analyzed players, used film for evaluation purposes and gathered background information on prospects. The 76ers won 61.6% of their games during Jabour’s final three seasons with the club, including two trips to the conference semifinals.

He made his NBA debut as Daryl Morey’s first scouting/ personnel hire with the Houston Rockets in 2006. In his five years in Houston, he worked his way up the scouting ranks from intern to personnel scout, then played an integral role in building a championship roster while serving as the as the Director of Scouting with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2009-11). Prior to working as a support staff member with USA Basketball in 2006, he spent four years on staff with Arizona State men’s basketball program. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2006 as a Dean’s List Honoree and earned a Master’s of International Business from the University of St. Thomas (2007) at the age of 22.
