SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has signed center JaVale McGee. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
McGee most recently played for the Dallas Mavericks, seeing action in 42 games (seven starts) during the 2022-2023 season. The center averaged 4.4 points per game while shooting 64.0% from the field and grabbing 2.5 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game.
A three-time NBA Champion, McGee won back-to-back titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2016-17 and 2017-18 and with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019-20. The 15-year veteran has seen action in 74 NBA Playoff games, including 23 starts, averaging nearly 62.0% from the field, 5.6 points, and 4.0 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game.
McGee was originally selected with the 18th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards.
