Sacramento, Calif. – Today, the Sacramento Kings and Legends Hospitality announced the first round of food and beverage offerings at Golden 1 Center – Sacramento’s world-class entertainment and sports center scheduled to open in fall of 2016. With selection led by the team’s official food and beverage services provider, Legends Hospitality, the offerings represent Sacramento’s vibrant and flourishing restaurant scene.
“Having these homegrown businesses in the arena intentionally magnifies the pride and passion of this region,” said Kings President Chris Granger. “We’re incredibly fortunate to have access to the freshest ingredients and talented culinary minds in our own backyard. Basketball’s best fans deserve great food, and we’re ready to satisfy their appetites.”
Today’s announcement builds on the October 2014 commitment to locally source 90 percent of Golden 1 Center’s food and beverages within 150 miles, establishing it as the nation’s preeminent farm-to-fork arena.
“We’re working with some of Sacramento’s dining pioneers to create a wide range of menu options to appease all appetites in the arena,” said Golden 1 Center Executive Chef and General Manager of Legends Hospitality Michael Tuohy. “Fans will be able to find their favorites, explore new flavors and tastes, and enjoy our take on the classics. All of it is crafted to ensure the best experience each time someone joins us at Golden 1 Center.”
