SACRAMENTO, CA - The Sacramento Kings will field a team to compete in the 2017 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 7-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Sacramento will play at least five games, beginning with its first contest on Friday, July 7 against the Phoenix Suns at 7 p.m. PDT at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Kings next game will take place on Sunday, July 9 versus the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 p.m. from the Cox Pavilion. The final preliminary game for Sacramento is scheduled on Monday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. against the L.A. Lakers at Thomas & Mack.
This summer’s event will again feature the tournament-style format debuted in 2013 that will crown the NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 17. A record 24 teams NBA teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 7-11 to determine seeding in a tournament running through the Championship Game. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of five contests.

The field features the teams that hold the top-five overall picks in NBA Draft 2017 presented by State Farm: the Celtics (No. 1), Lakers (No. 2), Philadelphia 76ers (No. 3), Phoenix Suns (No. 4) and Sacramento Kings (No. 5). In total, eight of the top 10 picks in this month’s draft belong to teams that will play in Las Vegas.
ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN App, including 35 on its linear television channels. NBA TV will air 28 games, starting with the league’s opener on July 7. In total, 63 games from Las Vegas will air across ESPN and NBA TV’s channels – a Summer League record.
