Kings Make Waves in Annual GM Survey

As much as fans have taken notice of the exciting developments in Sacramento, it appears the General Managers around the NBA are following suit.

In the annual survey conducted amongst the League’s GM’s, the Kings popped up in several categories.

De’Aaron Fox topped the list in “Which player is most likely to have a breakout season in 2019-20?”, bringing in 19 percent of the votes.

Unsurprisingly, Swipa also ran away with the category of “Which player is the fastest with the ball?” with a whopping 64 percent. In last year’s survey for the same section, Fox only received a handful of nominations.

Sacramento’s coaching staff also received some love. Head coach Luke Walton finished in third place with 18 percent of the vote when GM’s were asked “Which new or relocated head coach will make the biggest impact on his new team?”

Additionally, assistant coach Igor Kokoskov received seven percent of the votes for Best Assistant Coach as he heads into his first year on Walton’s staff.

The squad as a whole showed up in two other categories. Sactown received votes for Most Fun to Watch and logged 10 percent of the votes in Most Promising Young Core.
