Just eleven games into the 2015-16 season, Rajon Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins are having All-Star level campaigns.

“In Rondo and Cousins, they possess two powerful building blocks. They have a 6'11 beast capable of being the best player on the floor every night and a point guard that specializes in unleashing him,” said Weitzman on SBNation.com.

Although the writer notes the obvious return of DMC – who missed four games due to injury – as a catalyst for the team’s recent resurgence, he notes how well the dynamic guard and center have played together.

When the tandem of No. 9 and No. 15 have been able to share the court, there’s been incredible results; the team is 6.2 points per 100 possessions better than their opponents and Boogie’s baskets seem to come with ease – 27 of his 62 made field goals have come from his starting point guard.

The 44 percent of assisted field goals is “incredible” according to Weitzman, and for comparison notes that Chris Paul only assisted on just 25 percent of Blake Griffin’s makes this year.
