Miller Sports Properties Employees, Jazz Bear Deliver Coats for Kids to 11 Schools

SALT LAKE CITY (December 3, 2014) – Miller Sports Properties is donating 1,000 winter jackets and Utah Jazz beanie hats this week to 11 elementary and high schools, including four in the Park City area.

Coats for Kids, hosted on behalf of the organization’s eight sports units and corporate partners in lieu of holiday gifts, is in its second year as a Season of Giving program and demonstrates Miller Sports Properties’ ongoing commitment to service and community outreach.

On Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m., Miller Sports Properties employees and the Utah Jazz mascot Bear will make a special Coats for Kids delivery to Woodrow Wilson Elementary school in Salt Lake City.

In conjunction with the United Way, the recipient schools are Granger Elementary (West Valley City), Guadalupe School (Salt Lake City), Kearns High School (Kearns), Parleys Park Elementary (Park City), Trailside Elementary (Park City), Jeremy Ranch Elementary (Park City), McPolin Elementary (Park City), Roosevelt Elementary (Salt Lake City), South Kearns Elementary (Kearns), Wasatch Elementary (Clearfield) and Woodrow Wilson Elementary (Salt Lake City).

Miller Sports Properties consists of the NBA Utah Jazz; MiLB Triple-A Salt Lake Bees; Miller Performance, consisting of Miller Motorsports Park, the Ford Racing School and Oneiro; EnergySolutions Arena; KJZZ 14 Television; The Zone Sports Network (97.5 FM, 1280 AM, 960 AM); Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling race; and All-Star Catering.

The annual NBA Cares Season of Giving continues through the month of December and features a variety of team and player-led charitable events and activities to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and families.
