SALT LAKE CITY (May 14, 2014) – The Utah Jazz will participate in the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday, May 20, to determine the positioning of the team’s top selection in the 2014 NBA Draft. The Draft Lottery will be televised at 6 p.m. MT on ESPN from the Disney/ABC Times Square Studios in New York City.

Utah is currently slotted with the fourth pick in the Lottery but can finish anywhere between No. 1 -7, owning a 10.40 percent chance of winning the top pick and a 33.69 percent chance of moving up to a top-three pick (see below for a chart with the full odds). The Jazz also owns two additional picks in the 2014 Draft, with a set selection at 23rd (from Golden State) and either 34th or 35th overall, pending the outcome of the Lottery.

Bryan Miller, son of Jazz owner Gail Miller and the late Larry H. Miller and President of Miller Inspiration, will represent the team on stage, while Jazz President Randy Rigby and General Manager Dennis Lindsey will also be in attendance for the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery. This will be the first time a member of the Miller family has served as the Jazz team representative during the NBA Draft Lottery. Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O’Connor (in 2004-06, 2010-11), and Rigby (2013) were the Jazz’s on-stage participant for each of the franchise’s six previous Lottery appearances.
