Jazz Announce 2022 Summer League Roster

Jared Butler, Xavier Sneed, Tacko Fall, Bruno Caboclo, and Justin Robinson Featured on Summer League Roster

The Utah Jazz announced today the team’s roster for the 2022 Salt Lake City Summer League presented by America First Credit Union (July 5-7) and the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas (July 7-17). The Jazz will tip off their eight-game Summer League schedule at 7 p.m. MT on Tuesday, July 5 against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Vivint Arena.

The Jazz Summer League roster is headlined by Jared Butler, Xavier Sneed, Tacko Fall, Bruno Caboclo, and Justin Robinson.

Butler (6-3, 195, Baylor) appeared in 42 games (one start) for the Jazz during the 2021-22 season, averaging 3.8 points and 1.5 assists. The Reserve, Louisiana, native joined the Jazz last year as a second-round draft pick following his 2021 NCAA Championship season at Baylor, in which he was named the 2021 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

Sneed (6-5, 215, Kansas State) joined the Jazz in February on a two-way contract. The St. Louis, Mo., native appeared in seven games for the Jazz during the 2021-22 season. Sneed appeared in two games for the Memphis Grizzlies prior to signing with Utah.

Fall (7-6, 250, UCF) has appeared in 37 NBA games, including 11 (one start) during the 2021-22 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Fall, a native of Dakar, Senegal, has also appeared in three playoff games as a member of the Boston Celtics during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 postseasons.

Caboclo (6-9, 218, Brazil) has the most NBA experience on the Jazz Summer League roster having appeared in 105 games (20 starts) with the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, and Houston Rockets. The former 2014 first-round draft pick most recently appeared in six games for the Houston Rockets during the 2020-21 season.

Robinson (6-1, 195, Virginia Tech) has appeared in 43 NBA games since the 2019-20 season. The Manassas, Virginia, native appeared in 25 games last season, splitting time between the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings.

Bryan Bailey will coach the Jazz Summer League team during the Salt Lake City Summer League. Bailey has spent three seasons as a Jazz assistant coach. Prior to joining the Jazz coaching staff, Bailey worked for two seasons as an assistant coach for the Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. Bailey coached the Jazz during last year’s Salt Lake City Summer League as well as the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Jazz assistant coach Lamar Skeeter will coach the team during this year’s Las Vegas Summer League. Skeeter has spent eight seasons within the Jazz organization and six as an assistant coach. Skeeter last coached the Jazz Summer League team in 2019.

The Jazz will tip off the 2022 Salt Lake City Summer League on July 5 against the Thunder. The team will then face the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. MT on July 6. The Jazz conclude the SLC Summer League at 6 p.m. MT on July 7 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Following the completion of the 2022 Salt Lake City Summer League, the Jazz will participate in the NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022. The Jazz tip off their five-game Las Vegas schedule against the Atlanta Hawks at 5:30 p.m. MT on July 9 (NBATV). Utah will then battle the Mavericks on July 11 (NBATV), Raptors on July 13 (ESPNU), and Clippers on July 15 (ESPN2).

After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records will face-off in the championship game on July 17. All teams not competing in the championship game will play a fifth and final game on July 17.
