This Day in Jazz History - June 25, 1990

The Jazz acquired Jeff Malone from the Washington Bullets in a three-team trade that sent Bobby Hansen and Eric Leckner to Sacramento. A two-time All-Star, Malone would go on to play for the Jazz for three and a half seasons. Malone would be the full-time starter for the Jazz and stabilize the shooting guard position for a team that was looking for a third scorer. During his time in Utah he averaged 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Though very productive in a Jazz uniform, he was traded in 1994 to Philadelphia for Jeff Hornacek.
