Hornets Single-Game Tickets to Go On Sale Sept. 9

Giveaway Items For 2019-20 Season to Include 4 Bobbleheads, Hugo T-Shirt, Winter Hat

August 28, 2019 – The Charlotte Hornets announced today that single-game tickets for the 2019-20 season will go on sale on to the general public Monday, September 9, at 10 a.m.  Single-game tickets for all regular-season home games and two preseason games that will be played at Spectrum Center will be available online at hornets.com or ticketmaster.com, on the Hornets App, at the Spectrum Center Box Office or via phone at 1-800-4NBA-TIX.

The 2019-20 schedule features 17 home games on weekend dates, including five Fridays, nine Saturdays and three Sundays.  Highlights include a matchup with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, March 21, and a visit from Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, December 4.  Additional highlights include games against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, March 28, and the Houston Rockets on Saturday, March 7, as well as a pair of contests against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, November 7, and Tuesday, December 31.  The November 7 matchup, which will mark Kemba Walker’s first regular-season game against the Hornets, is scheduled to be televised on TNT.

The Hornets also announced the schedule of theme nights and giveaways for the upcoming season. 

On five Retro Remix Nights, the team will wear the recently-released purple Classic Edition uniforms and play on the classic court that made its debut last season, while the fan experience will incorporate the music, fashion and pop culture of the mid to late-1990s when the Hornets first wore the purple uniforms.  This series includes games on Saturday, November 9, against the New Orleans Pelicans; Friday, December 27, against the Oklahoma City Thunder; Saturday, February 22, against the Brooklyn Nets; Saturday, March 7, against the Houston Rockets; and Saturday, March 28, against the Los Angeles Clippers.  The final three games will feature giveaways to the first 7,500 fans, with a Miles Bridges bobblehead, a mystery bobblehead and a Hugo Retro T-shirt, respectively.

Five City Nights will celebrate the city of Charlotte and its culture and community.  The Hornets will wear new yet-to-be-revealed City Edition uniforms for these games, which will be Friday, December 6 against the Brooklyn Nets; Saturday, February 8, against the Dallas Mavericks; Sunday, March 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks; Thursday, March 19 against the Philadelphia 76ers; and Saturday, April 11 against the Washington Wizards.  The March 1 game against Milwaukee will feature a “Dwayne” Bacon bobblehead.

Other notable theme nights include Star Wars Night on Tuesday, December 31, against the Boston Celtics, which will celebrate the new Star Wars movie and feature a Star Wars-themed Terry Rozier bobblehead, and the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Novant Health, which will feature a Hornets winter hat giveaway, on Wednesday, December 4, against the Golden State Warriors.
