Hornets Recall Jeffery Taylor From Austin Spurs
January 9, 2015 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has recalled forward Jeffery Taylor from the Austin Spurs of the NBA D-League. The Hornets assigned Taylor to Austin, pursuant to the flexible assignment rule, on Dec. 28. Taylor will be available for the Hornets game tomorrow against the New York Knicks.
Taylor played in four games with the Spurs, averaging 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.2 minutes per game. He shot .333 from the field (15-45) and .750 from the free-throw line (12-16).
Taylor, a 6-7 forward in his third season in Charlotte, has seen action in three games for the Hornets this season, averaging 1.0 point and 1.3 rebounds in 6.0 minutes
