Hornets Corporate Social Responsibility

Identity Set for Launch on June 9

To the Greater Charlotte community:

Through Cats Care and the Cats Care Foundation, the Charlotte Bobcats have made serving our community a priority by engaging the organization’s ownership, executives, players and staff in meaningful and impactful philanthropic programs and events that empower and enrich the lives of children and families in need in the Charlotte region.

Education, wellness and the fight against hunger have been the three pivotal areas of focus for Cats Care and the Cats Care Foundation, and through our partnered efforts, we’ve made tremendous strides as a leader in social responsibility.  We thank our corporate community partners that helped the Charlotte Bobcats bring unique and dynamic programming, such as the Book Bus, educational grants, the Bobcats Wellness Clinic, the Mobile Pantry, Cornucopia, Dunk Hunger, our Military Care Event, the Yellow Ribbon program and our veteran home giveaway to our community.  This short list of philanthropic programs and events have identified the Charlotte Bobcats as a valuable community leader.

As we prepare for our new chapter, our core values will remain the same and be the driving force behind the launch of the Charlotte Hornets philanthropic identity:

  1. Honesty, Accountability and Respect: the Charlotte Hornets will continue to serve as a trustworthy and responsible member of the community integrating our ownership, executives, team, staff, fans and community.
  2. Focus on Fan Relations: community loyalty through superior service, building strong relationships, understanding our community needs and maximizing customer value will continue to be priorities of the Charlotte Hornets.
  3. Civic Enrichment: through innovative programs and a “lead by example” attitude, the Charlotte Hornets will continue to positively impact the Charlotte region as a leader in social responsibility.

The Charlotte Hornets will officially launch its corporate social responsibility identity on June 9.  We look forward to sharing this experience with you.  Stay tuned…
