Hornets Book Bus & Hugo's All Star Readers

On April 16, 2013, the Charlotte Hornets Foundation launched the Book Bus, a full-service literacy bus and program that inspires students ages 5 through 11 to develop a love for reading. The Book Bus travels to elementary schools in and around the city of Charlotte. Hugo the Hornet performs an interactive and entertaining program that motivates students to pick up a book and read every day!

NPO Partner Program

The Charlotte Hornets Foundation invites nonprofit organizations in the Charlotte region to be a part of the Hornets Community Corner at home games. At the Community Corner, nonprofits have the opportunity to showcase their organization to thousands of Hornets fans and advertise upcoming events.

Hornets Academy

In partnership with Bank of America, the Charlotte Hornets Foundation provides paid internships to high school students each summer through its Hornets Academy. Hornets Academy allows students to gain hands-on experience, get an inside look into the day-to-day operations of Hornets Sports and Entertainment and develop professional skills.
