The Miami HEAT teamed up with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami Dade College, North Campus for “My Future. My Voice. My Vote.” inspiring young people to become active participants in the democratic process through the school district’s existing Voter Registration Program. To support this effort, the HEAT transported up to 500 registered students to a Miami-Dade County Elections Department Early Voting location so they could cast their ballots, which, in many cases, was their first ever ballots casted. Additionally, the HEAT hosted a rally to build excitement around civic engagement and provided Papa John’s Pizza boxes and Aquafina water bottles to the students for lunch.
