Although the HEAT showed a lot of moxie down the stretch against the Rockets, it wasn’t quite enough in a 117-108 loss Wednesday night at Toyota Center.

Let’s check out some notable performances despite the defeat.

1. Herro Keeps Mixing It Up

Simply put, Tyler Herro continued to show that he’s more than just a three-point shooter.

In addition to hitting some of his usual treys, he also drilled pull-ups, crashed the glass and set up his guys.

Things really came together in a nine-point fourth quarter, where he nailed this crazy jumper with contact early in the period:

When it was all said and done, Herro had a team-high 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting, eight boards, three assists and two steals.

2. KO Gets Going Late

Regardless of the circumstances, Kelly Olynyk blocked out the noise and stuck with it in the fourth.

In fact, he led all players with 16 points (yes, 16) in the final period on 6-of-8 shooting, including this nifty finish courtesy of Justise Winslow:

Olynyk ended up with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, six rebounds, one assist and a game-high plus-14 rating.

3. Bam Empties The Tank

Bam Adebayo did his usual work in the paint on the offensive end, but his biggest contribution came defensively against Russell Westbrook.

All told, Adebayo answered the challenge and made things as tough as possible on the former MVP.

In total, the former Kentucky Wildcat amassed 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and 7-of-10 from the charity stripe, a game-high 11 rebounds and a game-high eight assists.

Other Takeaways:

-After missing nine games with a concussion, Winslow made his return to action and competed hard defensively against James Harden.

Winslow finished with 10 points, seven boards, three assists and one steal.

-Goran Dragić wasted little time to get going in his first start of the season and came through with this sick behind-the-back move and finish in transition early in the second quarter:

Yup, we’ve seen that before.

In all, Dragić accumulated 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Game Notes:

-Jimmy Butler (Illness) was an active scratch.

-Derrick Jones Jr. (Left Hip Strain), Daryl Macon (G League - Two-Way), KZ Okpala (Left Achilles Strain) and Dion Waiters (Team Suspension) were inactive.

Looking Ahead:

-After an off day on Thanksgiving, the HEAT will host the Warriors on Friday night at 8PM in the debut of ViceWave. Tickets for that game at AmericanAirlines Arena can be found here.
