The Miami HEAT have announced that in conjunction with the Miami Downtown Development Authority, it will stage a Miami HEAT White Hot Road Rally, hosted by T-Mobile SK4G, starting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th when the HEAT takes on the Bulls in Chicago for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Hip-Hop artist Ludacris will perform pre-game during Thursdays White Hot HEAT Road Rally. Game 5 will be broadcast live on MiamiMediaMesh, the 3,400 square foot LED screenthe largest of its kind in the Southeastwhich is affixed to the front of AmericanAirlines Arena. In addition to the game broadcast, in partnership with Burger Beast, 19 of South Floridas food trucks will be set up on Biscayne Boulevard. Fans are encouraged to bring folding and/or lawn chairs, but no coolers and no pets will be allowed on the property. The Road Rally is free and open to the public.
Hosted by T-Mobile SK4G, the White Hot HEAT Road Rally is the official watch party for White Hot HEAT playoff road games. In addition Ludacris performance, the HEAT will provide entertainment including performances by the HEAT Dancers, the Humana Golden Oldies, and the Miami HEAT Rhythm Section. HEAT mascot Burnie, and the Xtreme Team. In-Arena P.A. Announcer Michael Baiamonte, in-Arena Host Dale, and DJ Irie will also be in attendance.
Starting at noon on May 26th, Biscayne Boulevard will be closed between N.E. 6th and N.E. 8th Streets to accommodate the event. Parking in the AmericanAirlines Arena P2 parking garage will cost $5.00 per vehicle. Due to the Biscayne Blvd. street closure, HEAT fans will be able to access the P2 garage through the Port Boulevard entrance. Both the Miami Hoops Gear store inside the Arena as well as a new retail trailer stationed outside will be open for business.
While inventory is available, T-Mobile Sidekick 4G users who visit a participating T-Mobile store and show their Sidekick phone will receive two VIP tickets, providing them access to the T-Mobile VIP Lounge for the Road Rally. The T-Mobile VIP lounge will feature refreshments and comfortable seating as well as a front and center view of the event. The following are the participating T-Mobile locations:
