HEAT Trade Shabazz Napier

MIAMI, July 27 – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have traded guard Shabazz Napier and cash considerations to the Orlando Magic in exchange for a protected 2016 draft pick.
Napier appeared in 51 games (10 starts) for the HEAT last season, averaging 5.1 points, 2.5 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 19.8 minutes per game. He led the team in assists and steals eight times each, and was Miami’s leading scorer off the bench on 11 occasions. He also led reserves in assists 20 times, in steals 16 times, in minutes 11 times and in rebounds seven times.
He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round (24th overall) of the 2014 NBA Draft, and was acquired by the HEAT in a draft night trade.
