MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have recalled both guard Shabazz Napier and center Hassan Whiteside from their NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Napier appeared in one game with the Skyforce recording 22 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal in 30:39 minutes. He has appeared in 23 games with the HEAT this season averaging 5.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 21.4 minutes while shooting 42.9 percent from the field.
Whiteside appeared in one game with the Skyforce and posted a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double while blocking four shots and dishing out two assists in 26:02 minutes of action. He was originally signed by Miami on November 24 and has appeared in three games with the HEAT this season totaling six points, four rebounds and a block in nine minutes while shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from the field.
Both helped the Skyforce record a 124-105 victory against the Iowa Energy on December 13 and they will be available for the HEAT’s game at Brooklyn tomorrow night.
